BOLT STYLE:

All of our mechanical pencils are bolt style.  We do not offer click or twist type pencils at this time.  

MATERIAL TYPES: 

• Stainless Steel: Grade 304: an alloy containing approximately 8% nickel.
• Titanium: Type Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) with TC4 Hardness HRC 36.
• Carbon Fiber: Organic polymer sometimes referred to as graphite fiber.

ORIGIN:

Our natural, uncoated metal pencils have a seamless appearance where the pencil cone (tip) attaches to the barrel.  Our colored aluminum pencils are coated creating a slight build on top of the natural metal that does not allow for a totally seamless appearance.  To access the lead converter inside the pencil barrel, grasp the pencil cone (tip) with thumb and index finger with one hand and the pencil barrel with the other.  With thumb and index finger twist the cone counter-clockwise to unthread the cone from the barrel.  You will see the seam about an inch or so up from the bottom of the cone.  The lead converter unscrews from the cone.

PENCIL GRIP COMPARISON:

Anodized aluminum pencils and carbon fiber/stainless steel versions offer slight grip compared to our natural, uncoated metal pencils (i.e., stainless and titanium). 

PENCIL WEIGHT COMPARISON:

Standard size pencils by weight lightest to heaviest:

• Aluminum 1.3 oz.
• Titanium 1.6 oz.
• Carbon Fiber with Stainless Steel 2.3 oz.
• Stainless Steel 2.8 oz.

Pencils are not offered in mini or slim versions.

WHERE TO BUY PENCIL LEAD:

We do not sell lead directly from our store as our prices would not be as competitive as those found in other marketplaces (e.g., Amazon bulk prices, etc., ASIN B0016P2A5G for example would work).

Lead dimensions:

• Pencil lead size: 0.7mm 
• Pencil lead type: 2B
• Lead shaft maximum length: 60mm.
